Selected for the strategic development plan of Bodø!

Great news! Team Nordic - Office of Architecture, Felixx Landscape Architects & Planners, KOHT architecten &  BuroHappold is selected for the strategic development plan Bodø in Norway. A major Norwegian military airbase, Bodø MAS, will be relocated in 2022. This brings a unique opportunity to regenerate this vast central area in the city of Bodø, giving room for up to 15.000 new homes and 20.000 additional jobs above the Arctic Circle. Together with the development of a new airport, Bodø will grow further as an attractive capital of the North, with the ambition to become a pioneering world-class smart and green city. This transformation will be in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Paris Agreement and national and municipal goals for climate and energy, in order to make Bodø a low carbon society by 2050, equipped to meet future climate challenges. Today marked the beginning of the transformation process, as the ambitious plans were presented to the citizens of Bodø. Three teams are selected to work in parallel on the development frameworks. We look forward to a productive collaboration process with the teams of Henning Larsen+Alliance and DRMA+Asplan Viak, as well as the people of Bodø!
