Ecologies of Form. Architecture Talks
December 4 2025
On December 4, Felixx Associate Elan Redekop and Emanuela Cammarata will present Designing the Nature-Based City: Lessons from Almere at the online seminar series “Ecologies of Form. Architecture Talks”, organized by Politecnico di Milano.
Almere 2040 Development Plan
Almere 2040 Development Plan is a pioneering example of how nature-based solutions can guide resilient and inclusive urban growth. The project transforms Almere’s city center into a dense, vibrant, and ecologically integrated urban core, where buildings, water, and public spaces exist in harmony with the natural environment.
By integrating housing, public amenities, and climate adaptation strategies within a coherent green-blue framework, Almere demonstrates how urban expansion can enhance both environmental quality and social life. The city serves as a replicable model, offering valuable lessons for designing regenerative, nature-integrated urban environments.
