Bread & Heart Festival

Felixx Partner Michiel will participate in the panel discussion 'Becoming Friends with Floods' at the Bread and Heart Festival. Together with Dong Wang (Turenscape), Bjarke Ingels (BIG), David West (Studio Egret West), Benjamin Walker (LDA Design), and Michiel van Iersel, he will explore how floodable landscapes and sponge-city strategies can help shape a more resilient and collective future, shifting the conversation beyond defensive walls but toward landscapes that absorb, adapt, and coexist with water. Michiel will share Felixx's landscape-based approaches to water systems, highlighting how strategic planning across different geographies can create adaptive landscapes capable of coexisting with the spatial challenges of rising water. About the event The Festival is organized by the Bread & Heart Foundation in close collaboration with the Territorial Development Agency, the National Territorial Planning Agency and the NEWROPE Chair of Architecture and Urban Transformation at ETH Zürich.
