Towards a healthy city by foot

The Journey approach

Walking benefits everyone: the city, society, and of course, the walker. Yet pedestrians are often overlooked when it comes to designing public spaces. Commissioned by the College van Rijksadviseurs, Felixx conducted a study showing that walking in urban areas can become more popular—provided the quality of the walking experience is improved.

The study offers practical insights on how to rethink public space with people at its core.

Knowledge

The Felixx Knowledge Hub is a curated collection of research, insights, and multimedia content—where ideas take shape and knowledge evolves. Through publications, videos, interviews, and visual storytelling, we explore the potential of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) to create resilient, livable cities.

More than a repository, it’s a cabinet of curiosity and experimentation, where themes are dissected, projects unveiled, and connections between urban life and nature reimagined.

We invite you to download our materials and immerse yourself in our discoveries. Should you have any questions or seek further dialogue, please connect with us at pr@felixx.nl

Together, let’s inspire and cultivate a brighter, more harmonious future.
