Felixx Landscape Architects & Planners was founded in 2014 by Michiel Van Driessche and Deborah Lambert. In recent years Felixx has developed into an office with an international scope, with ongoing projects in Europe, Asia and Africa. The office operates from Rotterdam, with an international group of 35 enthusiastic professionals. The team has a diverse set of skills with backgrounds in landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, planning, science, and industrial design. We are proficient in managing high-profile, complex projects. Teams are tailored for each assignment, comprehensive experience is merged with uninhibited enthusiasm and creativity. We remain engaged to our projects from initiation till completion, working in full collaboration with our clients and partners during research, design, technical and construction stages.
Michiel Van Driessche
Partner, creative director
Michiel is a landscape architect and founder of Felixx Landscape Architects & Planners. He graduated cum laude from KASK University College in Ghent in 2007 and obtained a Master of Arts in Landscape Architecture from the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam in 2012. He has a strong focus on contemporary climate issues and specializes in strategic planning. His strength as a designer lies in spatial research, large-scale planning projects, and complex public space projects. Michiel is primarily responsible for Felixx's international portfolio. In addition to his work at Felixx, Michiel has also been appointed city architect of Groningen as of early 2024.

Deborah Lambert
Partner, managing director
Deborah is a public space designer and founder of Felixx Landscape Architects & Planners. She studied garden and landscape architecture at the Erasmus University College in Brussels and at Leeds Metropolitan University in England, after which she obtained a Master of Arts in Urban Interior Design at the Utrecht School of the Arts. As managing director, Deborah is responsible for the departments of finance, business development, marketing, and communication. With a strong focus on Nature-based Solutions (NbS), she aims to position landscape architecture as an essential component in the transition to a climate-adaptive future with resilient cities. From 2020 to 2024, Deborah served as a board member of the NVTL.

Eduardo Marin Salinas
Associate partner in Spain, landscape architect, biologist
Eduardo is a landscape designer and biologist. Through his studies at the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Polytechnic University of Barcelona, he combines his academic background in biology, botany, and ecology with the applied knowledge of a landscape architect. Eduardo is an expert in water and climate change and developed the Nature-Based Solutions catalog for the World Bank on behalf of Felixx. Additionally, he created various sustainable water strategies, including the renowned Water Square/Benthemplein in Rotterdam. Eduardo worked at De Urbanisten for seven years and has been a senior researcher at Felixx since early 2019. In 2023, Eduardo joined the management team as an associate.

John de Groot
Associate partner, landscape designer, urban designer
John combines urban design, landscape design, and public space design into compelling and innovative proposals. He graduated as an urban planner from the Academy of Architecture in Rotterdam in 2011. Over the years, he gained extensive experience working as an urban planner, public space designer, and project manager at renowned firms such as De Zwarte Hond, Juurlink[+]Geluk, and Palmbout Urban Landscapes. Since 2018, John has been a project leader at Felixx and the team leader of the master planning team. In 2023, he joined the management team at Felixx as an associate.

Elan Redekop van der Meulen
Associate partner, landscape architect
Elan is a landscape architect who graduated from Delft University of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urbanism, and Building Sciences, and a master's degree in Landscape Architecture. Since 2018, Elan has been working at Felixx, having previously gained experience at wUrck Architecture, Urban Planning, and Landscape Architecture. Elan leads the design research team and specializes in large-scale strategic projects with a focus on climate change, biodiversity, and water-related challenges. In 2023, Elan joined the management team at Felixx as an associate.

Natalia Andreeva
Associate partner, architect
Natalia is an architect and team leader of the tender and design team at Felixx. In her projects, she translates conceptual strategies into tangible representations, ensuring that projects effectively address global challenges while remaining deeply aligned with local cultural contexts. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Architecture from the Moscow Architectural Institute in Russia. After participating in an exchange program in Stuttgart, she completed a Master of Science in Architecture at KU Leuven in Belgium. Before joining Felixx in 2018, she gained extensive experience in Moscow and at IWT in Rotterdam. In 2023, Natalia joined the management team at Felixx as an associate.

Ahmadreza Dehghani
Intern
Ahmadreza is an intern at Felixx. He completed his Bachelor in Architecture at Shiraz Azad University in Iran, after which he began working at ShidArchitects, where he gained experience in nature-based design. Since 2023, he has been pursuing his Master in Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design at Politecnico di Milano. He also participated in an Erasmus program at Leibniz University in Hannover and completed an internship at Die Planergruppe in 2024–2025 to deepen his knowledge of landscape strategies and urban ecologies. Ahmadreza conceives cities as dynamic socio-ecological systems, where human and non-human components intersect, offering opportunities to observe, learn, and design in harmony with natural processes.

Alexia Cornil
Intern
Alexia is a graduate Erasmus intern from Brussels, where she also obtained her degree in Graphic Design at ESA Le 75. During her internship at Felixx, she is eager to gain experience in PR, business development and communications, while assisting with the further development of the company’s graphic identity.

Amedeo Ardolino
Landscape architect
Amedeo is a landscape architect who graduated cum laude from the University of Florence. After his studies, he began his professional career first in Italy and later in Belgium. Before joining Felixx in 2024, he honed his design skills at OMGEVING, where he worked on various projects from the competition phase through to building permits.

Arina Novikova
Architect, Urbanist
Arina is an architect and urban planner who is part of a research team. After earning her bachelor's degree in Belgorod, she pursued her passion for urban planning by completing a master's in Cities and Technologies at IAAC in Barcelona. There, she focused on sustainable, data-driven solutions for urban and natural environments. Before joining Felixx in 2024, she gained valuable experience working on a wide range of landscape projects in urban contexts at FABRICations in Amsterdam.

Chanelle Hool

Chanelle is an assistant designer with a Bachelor’s degree in Spatial Design from the Willem de Kooning Academy. She is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design, where her interest in water-sensitive design began to take shape.Before joining Felixx’s tender team, Chanelle gained experience at Studio Marco Vermeulen. In her work, she explores how design can mediate the threshold between the built environment and the landscape, with a particular focus on water-sensitive strategies and the creation of inclusive, resilient living environments.

Eline has been a communication professional for ten years. After earning her Bachelor of Arts at Breda University of Applied Sciences, she gained experience in the Rotterdam event industry, at a creative agency, and an architecture studio. In 2025, Eline joined Felixx, using her expertise to gain more reach and support for the healthy and sustainable environments her colleagues work on every day.

Urban planner, landscape architect
Els is an urban planner and landscape architect, with a passion for projects at the intersection of both disciplines. She first obtained a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, followed by a Bachelor's in Garden and Landscape Architecture. Driven by her fascination with large-scale design and the impact of landscape and public space on the quality of life in towns and cities, she continued her studies with a Master’s in Urban Planning at the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam.
Elsa Lopez Sanz
Architect, Urbanist
Elsa is an architect and urban planner. She graduated cum laude from the University of Alcalá, where she also worked as a research assistant. After gaining experience in both fields in Madrid, Elsa has been working at Felixx since 2023 as a landscape designer, dedicated to improving the built and unbuilt environment through creative, sustainable, and people-centered design.

Emanuela is an architect who blends her technical expertise with a deep passion for storytelling. Graduating cum laude in Architecture from the University of Palermo (IT), she has built a solid foundation in design. Her drive to explore the synergy between architecture and narrative led her to win a scholarship in 2021 for YACademy's advanced training in Marketing and Communication for Architecture in Bologna. Emanuela leverages her expertise to craft engaging narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, driving both project success and Felixx growth.

Esther has been ensuring the smooth daily operations of our office since 2018. She plays a vital role in maintaining the administrative health and financial sustainability of our firm. With her degree in Economics, Esther gained experience at various companies and spent twelve years as an office manager at BGSV in Rotterdam.

Georgia Kokolaki
Landscape Designer
Georgia is an architect and urban designer/planner from Greece, holding a Master’s degree in Urbanism from TU Delft and an Integrated Master’s degree in Architecture from TU Crete. Her work lies at the intersection of architecture, urbanism, and landscape, with a focus on climate adaptation and nature-inclusive environments. She is particularly interested in how spatial strategies can translate complex environmental challenges into resilient and impactful designs. Before joining Felixx, she worked at FABRICations in Amsterdam on landscape and regional-scale projects, and in Greece on innovation competitions, bioclimatic and public space design, and heritage restoration projects.

I-Chen is a landscape designer who, after completing her bachelor's degree in architecture in Taipei, earned a master's degree in Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design from Politecnico di Milano. She gained experience as a strategic designer at Urban Power in Copenhagen and later worked for a year at FABRICations in Amsterdam as part of the urban design team. Since 2024, she has been working as a strategic public space designer at Felixx.

Idil Yagmur Ozkalkan
Landscape designer
Idil is a landscape designer at Felixx. During her bachelor’s studies in Architecture at Beykent University in Turkey, she had the opportunity to study for a year as an exchange student at Politechnika Poznańska in Poznań, Poland. She furthered her education with a master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design from Politecnico di Milano. Idil gained practical experience through an internship at Witteveen+Bos and later worked at Flux Landscape Architects in Utrecht. Since 2024, she has been contributing as a public space designer at Felixx.

Jiaming is a Landscape Architect at Felixx. He studied landscape architecture in China and at TU Delft in the Netherlands. He works on projects ranging from territorial planning and blue-green infrastructure to climate-adaptive urban design. With professional experience in offices in China, the United States, and the Netherlands, his design approach focuses on integrating ecological resilience, water management, and social awareness into spatial strategies. Driven by a passion for research-based design, he aims to create adaptive and inclusive landscapes that respond to future challenges.

Landscape designer
Julia is a landscape designer on the strategy team. She holds a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from TU Delft, where she developed a strong interest in climate-adaptive design and Nature-based Solutions. She is particularly interested in how these ideas can be translated into spatial interventions that bring together ecological and public qualities. During her studies, she gained experience in research-by-design at Defacto Urbanism, first as an intern and later as an assistant designer. She is keen to continue developing this approach at Felixx, contributing to projects across a range of contexts, scales, and challenges.

Kiana studied Urban Design in Iran and Sustainable Landscape Design at Politecnico di Milano. Before joining Felixx in 2023, she gained experience as an urban designer at BasicCity in Rotterdam and as a landscape designer at Flux in Utrecht. She views the landscape as an integral part of creating pleasant and livable environments, particularly in cities where design plays a crucial role.

Linde Jorritsma
Landscape Designer
Linde is an urban planner and landscape designer with a fascination for urban ecology. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences and a master’s degree in Urbanism at Delft University of Technology. Before joining Felixx in 2025, she worked at INBO Amsterdam and MUST stedebouw. She has a broad experience with projects at different scales and phases: from visions and masterplans to realisation, often also in participation with stakeholders and (future) residents. Linde’s mission is to make biodiverse and green cities the standard and give a voice to nature within spatial developments. She is part of the masterplanning team at Felixx.

Marloes is a landscape designer who earned her master’s degree in Urbanism from TU Delft, where she participated in the Urban Ecology graduation studio. Before joining Felixx’s design team in 2022, she gained experience at ECHO Urban Design. Ramona is the team leader of the design and implementation team. She studied Landscape and Open Space Planning at Leibniz University in Hannover and participated in the Leonardo da Vinci postgraduate scholarship program of the European Union. Before joining Felixx in 2018, she gained experience at Michael Tänzer in Hannover and Arriola & Fiol Arquitectes in Barcelona. Ramona later worked at West 8 in Rotterdam as a technical designer and assistant project manager, contributing to several award-winning projects.

Timon is an assistant designer at Felixx. Through Felixx he had the opportunity to complete his bachelor’s degree in Spatial Development at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. He is now deepening his expertise through the master’s program in Urban Design at the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design. In both his studies and work he focuses on the relationship between the built environment and nature, emphasizing coherence and livability.
