IMC Weekend School

Sunday January 23rd, a very enthusiastic group of little visitors came by our office! Over 25 young students from the IMC Weekendschool Delfshaven visited Felixx’ headquarters and learned about our profession. We introduced the students into landscape design and taught them about the importance of green spaces in the city, biodiversity and how everybody – yes, even them – can participate and contribute to a greener, healthier and happier world.We asked them to design their favorite city playground and armed with clay, soil, water and seeds, they made flower bombs. At the end of winter they can drop them in a sad place in need of color and bee activity. In spring their neighborhood will bloom like never before!We were pleasantly surprised by their thoughts, ideas, designs and enthusiasm. We are gratefull to IMC weekendschool for offering us this opportunity, not only for the students, but also for our company and employees. About ICM Weekend school IMC Weekend School offers additional, inspiration based education to children(aged 10-14) from underprivileged neighborhoods. Through their programs they provide students with the skills, knowledge and audacity that are needed to find a place in society that matches their capacities. Together with Architecture office De Zwarte Hond and MVRDV, Het Nieuwe Instituut, Boijmans van Beuningen Museum, we organized a series of classes in the ‘architecture’ theme month.
