Ecologist/Planting specialist

Felixx is an international landscape architecture firm committed to building a sustainable world. Founded in 2014, the firm has steadily grown into an enthusiastic team of approximately 35 designers, researchers, and engineers. We aim to continue expanding, deepening our knowledge, and broadening our field of work. To expand our team, we are looking for an ecologist or planting specialist who has a passion for climate, a deep love for plants, and a desire to be part of a dynamic international design team. Felixx is seeking an experienced ecologist or planting expert immediately.

The firm offers a diverse range of projects: from public space design to planning large-scale landscape transformations in various locations in the Netherlands and around the world. Climate challenges are at the core of every plan, from concept to realization. Therefore, extensive plant knowledge and a strategic vision on planting in a changing climate are crucial aspects of our profession.

In this versatile role, you will work closely with the design and research teams and provide advice on various integrated landscape projects. You will come up with strong concepts, prepare planting schemes, management and maintenance plans, work on green visions, and integrate climate-adaptive strategies and Nature-based Solutions.

Your Profile:

  • A relevant completed degree in landscape architecture or ecology
  • An expert in planting
  • An open, communicative, enthusiastic, and investigative work attitude
  • 2-5 years of work experience
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks or similar, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • Available for a minimum of 32 hours per week
  • Residing in the Rotterdam area
  • Available to start immediately
